Happy New Year! It was a great week back at school. In addition to our reading instruction, we are working with a program in class that is designed to help children develop their comprehension and vocabulary skills through read aloud stories. Each week, we read a story and focus on six vocabulary words. We try to use the vocabulary in our conversations and activities throughout the week. The words we focused on this week were: cowered, reassured, vibrated, dumbfounded, suppressed and dismayed. Please ask your child to retell the story
